We have many things our students are able to be involved in.
The St Vincent De Paul/Social Justice group was formed in 2017. The students in the group help out in the community and raise money for charity. There are smaller groups within the whole group. The groups help the hungry and raise money for organisations like the Soup Kitchen. The groups visit and spend time with those in rest homes who are lonely or have no family while others help young children.
The liturgy leaders are a group of students who organize liturgies and masses within the school. They organize the music, powerpoints, readings, and paint the altar cloths. This group of students are also part of the Social Justice group.
The liturgy choir is a group of students from the middles and seniors who sing in masses and liturgies. At the moment due to us not being able to use Connolly Hall, the choir has had to take a well-earned break.
The altar servers are a group of students who altar serve with Father James. They undergo training to be able to altar serve at lunch time Masses, freely giving up their lunch times.
Kapa Haka and Pasifika Groups-
The whole school, from year 1 to year 8, go to Kapa Haka on Thursdays. We also have a group of students who chose to be in the performance group. The performance group spend an extra 30 minutes practising for performances.
The Challenge 2000 group meet on Monday mornings to discuss ways to help the community and those who are not as fortunate. Representatives from the Challenge 2000 organisation come in to the school and spend time with the group of students to come up with ways to raise money while also playing games and having fun.
We have a Coding Club run by senior students for their peers.
The Middle and Syndicate Students have an Engineering group. They focus on completing projects around our school that add to the environment.
